Paul Albert Hudon

Paul Albert Hudon 06/29/1945 died on 12/28/2025. He was the son of Albert E. Hudon and Viola B. Hudon. Paul was a longtime resident of West Hartford. He grew up in Collinsville, CT when it was a thriving busy factory town. He remembers the factory whistle and coming home for lunch from school. It was a time when everyone watched out for each other and their children. He felt that Collinsville helped shape his character and values. Paul graduated from Canton High School in 1963 where he received scholarships from The Hartford Times and the University of Rochester. He attended the University of Rochester, majoring in economics, graduating in 1967. He went on to receive his JD degree at the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1970. Paul married Michele Ferleger while in law school. They enjoyed 58 years of happiness. Paul’s professional career began as a clerk for the Honorable James H. Kinsella at the Hartford Probate Court. His experiences there shaped his lifelong career as a compassionate and knowledgeable Probate and Estate Planning attorney. In 1976 Paul and Neil E. Atlas established Atlas and Hudon L.L.P. in West Hartford, where he continued to practice law for the next 45 years. In 2021 he joined the firm of Capalbo Hourihan LLC where he continued to practice until his death. Through Paul’s entire career he took special care for his clients. He was the “lawyers’ lawyer” and many of his colleagues sought his counsel. He was a family lawyer who often made house calls. Paul was a blood donor beginning in college and he encouraged others to donate as well. Paul’s passion was Law, but he enjoyed thousands of hours of walking in West Hartford reservoirs, Elizabeth Park, and the beautiful beaches and towns on Cape Cod. There was nothing better than lying in a hammock with a good book, looking down on Schoolhouse Pond. Paul was predeceased by his sister Philippa Follert and his parents. He is survived by his wife Michele and daughters Amy H. Fitzgerald (John) and Jessica H. Beaver (Thomas), his granddaughters Katelan Fitzgerald and Olivia Fitzgerald and bonus granddaughters Meagan Beaver and Abigail Beaver. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret Stenberg and Elizabeth Gill and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to: The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving or Connecticut Food Share. Funeral services will be private, Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
