Linda Hepburn

Linda (Hebert) Hepburn, born on January 28, 1943, beloved wife of David Hepburn of West Hartford for 49 wonderful years, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2015. Linda was born in Lewiston, ME, and moved to Hartford at age nine. Linda attended St. Joseph Cathedral High School before finishing her high school education at Hartford High School. These formative years cultivated life-long cherished friendships with a wide group warmly known as “the bridge club.” After graduating from Saint Joseph College with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Linda worked as a third grade teacher in Simsbury. Following several years of loving devotion to the raising of her three children, Linda went back to work and very proudly built a 28 year career as a pension analyst at Aetna, retiring in 2009. In recent years and retirement, Linda and Dave enjoyed traveling in the US and abroad, including regular visits to Florida and memorable trips to Scotland, France and Italy. A devoted “Nana” to eight grandchildren, Linda worked hard never to miss a single birthday or special occasion. She particularly enjoyed using her great talent for cross-stitching and knitting to honor those occasions. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Aurel and Jeanne (Guimond) Hebert, and brother Richard Hebert. Linda is survived by her sister Claudette Glover of Englewood, FL; her daughter Caroline O’Brien and husband Matthew of Santa Barbara, CA; her son Michael Hepburn and wife Laura of Wilmette, IL; her daughter Julie Greene and husband Brett of Tolland, CT; her eight loving grandchildren: Alexander, Katherine and Olivia O’Brien, Grace, Matthew and Elizabeth Hepburn, and Avery and Abigail Greene; plus numerous friends and family. Calling hours will be Friday (March 13), from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (March 14) at 10:00am at St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant St, West Hartford. Interment will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
