Kerry Ann Rogan Kovaleski

Kerry Ann Rogan Kovaleski, passed away at home on September 4th, 2023, at the age of 51. Kerry Ann, the beloved daughter of Betty Ann and the late Dennis Rogan grew up in Williston Park, NY. Kerry was the proud mother of her three beautiful children Patrick, Dylan and Julia. Dear sister of Dennis and his girlfriend Mia, Brian and his wife Lara, Maureen and her husband Brian, Michael and his wife Erin and Betsy. Caring Aunt to nieces and nephews. In 2018 Kerry Ann married Michael Kovaleski in Long Island and spent parts of the past 4 years supporting each other. Kerry will be missed and grieved by her friends and extended family in New York, Connecticut and Florida. Kerry Ann was the oldest of six children and took on many responsibilities of helping to care for her five younger siblings. Kerry Ann attended Mineola High School in Long Island, NY, where she enjoyed being a member of a championship volleyball team, as well as taking part in the annual dancing/activity competition of “Color night” with her many friends. Kerry Ann obtained her Associates degree in Nursing and became a registered nurse upon passing the required NCLEX exam. She started working at Winthrop University Hospital in 1992 as a full-time telemetry nurse. After starting a family, Kerry switched to part-time, in order spend more time with her children. Over her career, she worked in many departments of nursing, including; critical care, emergency services and the cardiac catheterization lab. Kerry Ann possessed a very caring and calming nature to all the patients she helped in over 20 years working as a nurse. Kerry Ann had a pleasant and friendly personality and was kind to everyone she met. She enjoyed simple pleasures in life such as a good book, cooking a meal for a loved one, yoga classes, and a hot cup of tea. Kerry Ann also had a knack for and enjoyed home decorating. Some of her fondest memories are of planning and coordinating numerous family reunion trips (Disney World, Woodloch Pines Resort) which created very special times for her entire family. Kerry Ann’s death was the result of complications from a long battle with alcohol use disorder. The pain of her death is heartbreaking to her family. Kerry Ann will be greatly missed. With heartfelt gratitude, the family thanks all of those who cared for and counseled Kerry Ann during her journey. The family would also like to encourage all that are suffering with similar battles to try and seek help and support. Services: Kerry Ann will be buried at Fairview cemetery, West Hartford, CT, with her father. Kerry's family plans to hold a private ceremony to celebrate her life. The family would like to thank the Molloy Funeral Home, Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT for their assistance and kindness.
