Jean Marie Dawson

Jean Marie O'Sullivan Dawson, passed away from the loving arms of her husband and children, on March 17, 2011 at Hartford Hospital, to spend eternity in Heaven. She was the beloved wife of Morgan E. Dawson for 64 years, and yet it seems to have been too short. I can't image life without her wonderful presence and the guidance she provided her family. She was born in Farmington the daughter of Michael J. and Agnes Weber O'Sullivan on October 19, 1927. They knew they had a special child from her birth. She was predeceased by her older brother Robert an sister Helen. She is survived by a younger sister Alyce Driscoll and three wonderful children; Diane Dawson Brown, Morgan Randolph Dawson, and Donna Elizabeth Venoutsos. Her grandchildren have given her great joy in her lifetime; P. Morgan Brown, Graeme Kingsland Brown, Nick Venoutsos, and Kali Leffelbine. She also is survived by two great grandchildren, Banks Brown, and Alexia Leffelbine. Her professional life was a full one. She started Dawson Personnel Employment Agency over 20 years ago in Hartford and made it one of the best in Connecticut. Everyone loved her for her genuine truthfulness and quality in business dealings at high or low levels. She was fond of sports co-captain of the girl's basketball team in High School, loved golf and was a member of Wampanoag C.C. when she passed. She was also a member of the Vero Beach C.C. Florida for 15 years and played four days a week. Her social activities kept her busy but she had time for bridge and loved it. She was never at a loss when it came to crossword puzzles and always carried them in her pocketbook. Despite this vigorous social life she always found time for her children and grandchildren. I miss you already, though you have been gone for just a few days. I love you for being a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I don't know what I will do without you. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the Church of St. Timothy 1116 N. Main St. West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Friends may call Monday from 4-7 pm at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave. West Hartford.
