Barbara M. Davis, a beloved resident of West Hartford, CT, and Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 102. Born in Hartford, CT, on Monday, January 7, 1924, Barbara lived a long, fulfilling life defined by her passions and dedication to family and community. Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Robert S. Morris and Helen Morris. She pursued her education at the Oxford School, followed by the CT College for Women (Conn College) in New London, where she nurtured her love for learning and the arts. As a dedicated homemaker, Barbara created a warm and welcoming environment for her family and was a nurturing presence in the lives of her loved ones. She was a proud mother to her son, Robert Jopson of West Hartford, CT, and a loving stepmother to Dianne Hague. Barbara's life was enriched by her numerous interests and community involvements. An aficionado of the arts, she adored dancing, travel, and music. Her harmonious voice found a fitting place in the Choir of the First Church of Christ Congregational in West Hartford, where her spirit and talents shined brightly. Barbara was also a member of the High Tones Band at the West Hartford Senior Center, where she shared her love of music with fellow members. Her compassion and zest for life extended to her involvement in raising toy poodles, creatures she held dear and loved deeply. Barbara touched many lives with her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Barbara is survived by her devoted son, Robert Jopson, and her stepdaughter, Dianne Hague. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Arrangements have been entrusted to Molloy Funeral Home, friends and family will celebrate Barbara's remarkable life and her enduring legacy of love and joy, Funeral services will be September 2, at 12:30 pm graveside at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave. West Hartford. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the beautiful music she brought into the world will resonate in the hearts of those she touched for generations to come.
