Aynesse Farrah

On June 6, 2015, Aynesse Farrah, 82, devoted wife and cherished mother, entered into God's eternal light. She was at her home and surrounded by her family. Born in Deman, Lebanon, Aynesse was one of six children born to Martha and Garius Arab. Some of her favorite childhood stories included the many fruit and olive trees around the family home where it was routine to "pick a bowl everyday". She perfected the art of Middle Eastern cooking. Her lifelong hobby of gardening both flowers and fresh vegetables always made her happiest. She could pick her grape leaves from her vine in her back yard, a main reason why she wanted this particular home almost fifty years ago. Her pride and joy was her family. The light in her face and voice will forever be remembered as she lovingly spoke of her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, George Farrah; her children, Rhonda and life partner, Bonnie, Rommerro and wife, Lisa, Zachary and wife, Maria, Albert and wife, Nicole, and Sonia. She leaves behind, but carries in her heart her grandchildren; Amanda and husband, James, Rebecca, George, Joseph, Ashley, Malachi and granddaughter through friendship and care giving, Gretchen. In her heart are her "small ones", her Grandchildren; "sunshine", Jack, her Tessa, her Christopher "Bo", and her precious great-grandson, James. She is survived by her siblings, Said and wife, Teresa, Gladys and husband, Noah, Florence and husband Elias, Beatrice and husband, Joseph. She is predeceased by her oldest brother, Joseph, but is survived by his wife, Nohad. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Carlise Farrah and Ann Carroll, and her "best friend" and sister-in-law, Vicki McCormick. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her nephew, Garius "Gary" Farrah. She is predeceased by her sister-in-law, Jamillie Farrah. A very special thanks to Dr. Flowers and Lorena, Dr. Kureshi, Dr. Kim, the entire staff at Gray Cancer Center, Dr. Jhunja and Ida, Dr. McArdle, Dr. Becker at Smilow, and to Dr. Ross Albert and Brittany. You are all in our mom's heart. Calling hours are Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5-8pm at Molloy Funeral Home 906 Farmington Ave., West Htfd. Mass will be held on Sat. June 13, 2015, 10am at St. Patrick St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St. Htfd, followed by a Christian burial at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Blmfd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to cancer research at Hartford Hospital or Smilow at Yale.
