Amy Marie Randall

Amy Marie (Keefe) Randall of West Hartford, Connecticut was granted eternal rest on Monday October 1, 2012. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Amy was born in Hartford Connecticut, to Dr. George G. Keefe and Amy Casey Keefe on May 21, 1926. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy in West Hartford and received her B.A. from the College of New Rochelle, New York. She was an elementary school teacher. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Warren S. Randall, and they were married for almost fifty years before his passing in 2000. Amy and Warren raised seven children in West Hartford. Her family was always her top priority and her greatest sense of fulfillment. Amy was unfailingly devoted to God, family and friends. She was a dedicated and longtime parishioner at St. Timothy’s Church where she shared her musical talents by singing in the choir for many years. When she wasn’t taking care of her 7 children and 18 grandchildren or cooking large fabulous meals for extended family, she volunteered at St. Francis Hospital, Northwest Catholic High School, Kingswood-Oxford, St. Timothy’s School and Loaves and Fishes. In addition to taking care of family and volunteering, Amy loved tennis, bridge, golf, sailing, reading, traveling, knitting, jam making, bowling and cross country skiing. God blessed Amy with gifts of great faith, strength, intelligence, insight and compassion. She lovingly and generously shared these gifts every day. Her life on earth was full and rich; an intangible wealth of many friends and a large adoring family. Amy is survived by her five devoted daughters and their spouses: Dr. Mary E. Randall and her husband Dr. Lawrence Neureither of Simsbury; Amy Randall Lynch, Esq. and her husband Daniel E. Lynch, Jr., Esq. of Simsbury; Margaret Randall Brodeur, Esq. and her husband, Christopher Brodeur of Glastonbury; Patricia Randall Taylor and her husband John Taylor of West Hartford; and Christine Randall Collins, Esq. and her husband J. Matthew Collins of West Hartford. Amy also had a very special love for each of her 18 grandchildren: Amy Neureither, Megan Neureither, Lauren Neureither, Christopher Randall, James Randall, Daniel Lynch, Casey Lynch, Amy Lynch, Katie Brodeur, Christopher Brodeur, Mary Brodeur, Megan Brodeur, Christine Taylor, John Taylor, Kellyann Taylor, Rosemary Collins, Annabelle Collins, and Caroline Collins. She is also survived by her brothers Dr. William P. Keefe and Joseph J. Keefe, Esq. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren, her two sons, Joseph and Stephen, and her brother George and infant sister Margaret. We were all so blessed to have had such a beautiful, strong, classic and extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister and friend in our lives - now our Angel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 4-8 p.m., at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5, at St. Timothy Church. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Church of St. Timothy or Loaves and Fishes, 360 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105.
