Patricia J. Ludorf, a resident of New York City for over 40 years, died April 11, 2016, at age 91. She was the daughter of the late Architect Henry F. Ludorf and Noreen (McMahon) Ludorf of Hartford and was born in Farmington, CT. A graduate of Barnard College Columbia University, she received a graduate degree in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University. She wrote a consumer column “Consumer Concerns” under the by-line, Joan Luddy, for the Hartford Times. She held many executive positions for corporations such as J.C. Penny Company and Kellogg International. In recent years, she was a public relations executive and speechwriter with AT&T at the New York corporate headquarters. Patricia was a member of numerous prestigious organizations. One dear to her heart was the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. She was presented with the Mayor’s Key of the City of New York in recognition of her community service. Active in church affairs, she served as founder and President of the Parish Board, Church of Our Savior in New York City and the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. She is survived by her cousins Karen McMahon of North Attleboro, MA, Patrick McMahon of Cranston, RI and several other cousins in Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday (April15th) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford.
