Michael Bernard
August 23, 2017
Michael David Bernard, age 48, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on August 23, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, brother in law, uncle, great uncle and friend who touched the lives of the many people he loved. He lived his life to the fullest on his own terms. His children and his wife were his world. Theater was his vocation. Spending time with his wife, children and family and cooking for them was his passion. Often times, his family lived their lives with him between opening and closings of a show, between intermission and act two, curtains up and curtain down and between when his wife and children got out of school and he went in for a show call at night. Those moments added up to a life time of memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. He will live on in our love forever. He will be greatly missed by all including his father Dick Bernard, his sister Marie Miszewski, his brother Rich Bernard, his wife Tracy Bernard and his children Ian and Brianna Bernard. We know he was welcomed into the loving arms of his brother Tom Bernard and his mother Glenna Bernard who predeceased him. Calling hours will be Saturday, August 26th from 1-4 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to help his son achieve his dream of becoming a Diesel Mechanic and his daughter’s dream of becoming a Computer Engineer. Checks may be made payable to: Bernard Family Trust, C/O Matson Financial Advisors, 4 Mountainview Terrace, Danbury, CT 06810. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.molloyfuneralhome.com
