Kenneth Paul Langevin passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on March 12th, 2022. Born on November 12, 1968, he spent his early years exploring the winding roads of Canton, Connecticut. Raised by his loving parents George and Gilma Langevin, who instilled in him strong morals and a strong work ethic. Attending Canton High School, he exceled in both sports and academics, playing baseball, basketball, and soccer. Setting a school record for varsity letters earned (12) and winning a state championship in baseball. Of note, future father-in-law and basketball coach Billy “Mud” Mudano alongside childhood best friend Bill Mudano played a large role in this period of his life. While attending Canton High, Ken met his future wife and high school sweetheart Kerri Mudano. They went on to marry in 1994 and moved to West Harford, Connecticut where they began to build a life together. Going on to raise a wonderful family including three sons and beloved dogs Sofie, Piper, and Coco. Kenneth earned a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Connecticut College. As a student athlete he played soccer all four years, earning captainship in acknowledgment of his dedication to the team. He then went on to obtain his J.D. at UCONN Law School. Ken worked at Cigna for 26 years in variety of legal and government affairs roles, where he had many close colleagues and friends. Outside of the office Ken was a family man above all else. He enjoyed watching sports on television with family and friends – often catching a game after preparing his famous chili or delicious sauce and meatballs. Ken supported many teams, but his favorite team was always the one Kyle, Matthew, or Peter was on. Some of his other hobbies included cooking, nightly Jeopardy with Pop, bird watching, and playing cards with his family and friends. His summers were highlighted by annual family vacations to Cape Cod, baseball trips with Matthew and Peter, and spending time with a good book. Kenny is survived by his wife Kerri and their three sons Kyle (Glastonbury), Matthew, and Peter, parents Gilma and George Langevin (Canton), sister Lisa and her husband Mark Legowski (Farmington), sister Nancy Keenan (Foxborough, MA), brother-in-law William Mudano (Middletown), nieces and nephews Brittany and Justin Legowski, Meghan and Kate Keenan, and Joshua and Ethan Mudano. In addition, Ken leaves behind many other relatives and dear friends. Calling hours are 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18th at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave, West Hartford, CT. A celebration of life will be held at Saint Patrick Saint Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford, CT at 9:00am on Saturday March 19th.
