Kathryn "Kitty" Craemer

CRAEMER, KATHRYN (KITTY) O'SHEA Born in New York City, the only child of James and Mary (McSweeney) O'Shea she was brought home to West Hartford several weeks later. Kitty attended Sedgwick School, was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Marymount College. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 49 years, Frank D. Craemer. She is survived by their five children: Elisa Genovese and her husband Jack V. Genovese II of West Simsbury, CT; Mary Stevens and her husband Russell Laird Stevens of Colchester, CT; Frank D. Craemer, Jr. and his wife Michele (Bredice) of Upton, MA; Rosanne Shea and her husband Robert F. Shea, Jr. of West Hartford, CT; and James O. Craemer and his wife Brooke (Dumain) of Brooklyn, NY. Kitty also leaves ten beautiful grandchildren: Maria, Christina and Jack Genovese; Russell (R.J.), Katie, and Megan Stevens, Jeremiah and Fiona Shea; and Patrick and Will Craemer. Kitty also leaves her sister-in-law Twinkey Craemer and her eight children, as well as many first cousins and dear friends. Kitty became a realtor in 1978, joining the TR Preston Company, and most recently was associated with Wm. Raveis Real Estate. She was a member of the Saint Francis Women's Auxiliary, and a long time communicant of the Church of Saint Timothy; and since 2006, the Church of Saint Gertrude. Kitty enjoyed golf, gardening, and especially spending time with her family, including many wonderful summers in Groton Long Point. Calling hours will be in The Church of St. Timothy, 1116 N. Main St. West Hartford on Wednesday (7/20) from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Church of Saint Timothy on Thursday (7/21) at 11:00 a.m., to be celebrated by Father Maurice Barry.
