Jeanne Malone Horton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jeanne Malone Horton, 90, of West Hartford, wife of Theodore T. Horton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of John and Alice (Boisseau) Malone, Jeanne was born in Hartford on March 20, 1926. She was a graduate of Hall High School and lived in Simsbury and West Hartford most of her life. After raising her family, Jeanne enjoyed working for her two favorite organizations, as an employee of the Town of West Hartford and as a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital. In addition to being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, Jeanne will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, beautiful smile and as a gracious hostess who always set a lovely table that complemented her outstanding culinary skills. She played bridge, was an avid reader, and spent many happy summers on the Connecticut shore. Left to celebrate her life and mourn her passing are her four children and six grandchildren: Jane Lennox, her husband John Sanzone and their daughter Olivia of West Hartford; Mark Lennox of Farmington; Andrew Lennox, his wife Audrey and their sons Ryan and Derick and his wife Misa all of California; and Martha Lennox Hickey and her son Brandon and daughters Alison and Caroline of Clarence Center, NY. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen Lennox. She will also be remembered by her husband’s son and daughter: Theodore Horton Jr. and his wife Sabina of New Jersey and Peggy Ann Quagliaroli and her husband Rick of West Hartford and their many children and grandchildren. Jeanne’s family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the caregivers who filled the end of her life with loving care: Audie, Donna, Hazel, Louise, and Mary. The funeral will be held Saturday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford.
