Carol H. Farr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carol H. Farr (84) of West Hartford, CT and La Jolla, CA passed away on July 12, 2021. She was the loving and devoted wife of John M. Farr to whom she was married to for nearly 60 years until John’s passing in April of 2020. Carol was the second oldest and only daughter of the late Dr. Joseph W. Holtey and Antionette (Hamming) Holtey and she was born and raised in Ossian, Iowa. She attended the College of Saint Theresa in Winona and Rochester, MN. After graduating from their nursing program in 1958, Carol relocated to Hartford, CT where she joined St. Francis Hospital as a licensed nurse and teaching faculty member in their nursing school. Carol was a wonderful mother of 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She is survived by three of her 5 brothers as well as by her son, Brian Farr and her daughter in-law Myra Farr in Center Valley, PA, Barbara Christensen in San Diego, CA, Laura Daigle and her son-in-law Bobby Daigle in Colchester, CT, and Jennifer Drolet of Weston, CT. The Molloy Funeral Home located at 906 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT is assisting with the arrangements. There are no calling hours and a funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter Claver located at 47 Pleasant Street, West Hartford, CT on July 23, 2021 at 10 a.m. The Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
