Valentino Donato Clementino

Valentino Donato Clementino, 95, husband of Mae Colgan Clementino, of West Hartford, died Thursday, February 15, 2007. Born in Hartford, the son of the late Antonio and Alessandria Sforza Clementino, he made his home in the Hartford area all of his life. He and his family moved to West Hartford in 1966 and spent their summers at Columbia Lake. Valentino graduated from Boston University and went on to receive his law degree from Boston University School of Law. He was a past president of the Hartford Bar Assoc, a member of the Connecticut Bar Assoc, the Windsor Rod and Gun Club, and was past president of the Young Italian American Assoc. He was a member of the Manchester Country Club, the PBOE Lodge #19, was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11, and served as a Councilman for the City of Hartford. Valentino is survived by his wife of 69 years Mae Clementino, his three children, Edana D?Anzi of New Orleans, LA, Antonio Clementino and his wife Renee of San Rafael, CA, Carol Tyskwicz and her husband Albert of Naples, FL; two brothers and two sisters, George L. Clementino of ME, James D. Clementino of South Windsor, Maria Fazio of Glastonbury, Anita Russo of Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Catherine Hernaez, Michael D?Anzi, Dana D?Anzi, Laura Howerton, Susan Rojano; and five great grandchildren, Nicole Macon, Audrey Howerton, Celeste D?Anzi, Dominic D?Anzi, and Colgan Rojano. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Clementino, Michael Clementino, and his sister Macrina Ciarleglio. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Timothy, West Hartford.
