Seth Douglas Parker

Seth Douglas Parker age 49, beloved darling husband of Bobie Jo Walsh Parker of West Hartford, CT passed away April 10, 2026, at home with his wife by his side after a long, courageous journey with cancer. Born in Meriden, CT Seth was the son of Elissa Crispino Salomone and Douglas Parker. Stepson to the late Peter Salomone and Karen Parker. Seth attended and graduated from Saint Paul high school where he excelled at baseball, football and friendships. Upon graduation Seth worked to complete an apprenticeship at Meriden Manufacturing, a family-owned tool and die company where he grew his skills from toolmaker to the front office up to Vice President. Every morning he made his rounds through the shop to say good morning to each person by name. He had a gift to make people feel like they mattered because to Seth they did. He led not by authority, but by example and it showed. He was greatly revered by his Meriden Manufacturing, Family. Seth was a father in the fullest sense of the word. He took on the role with his whole heart from the very beginning when he and Bobie Jo decided to build a life together. One of Seth’s biggest goals in life was to be a dad, as a stepdad to Henry who was five at the time he gave him everything a dad could give, his time his attention and his whole heart. Henry, Derek, Brenden, Ellie, and Charley grew up watching and idolizing their daddy be the dad who showed up! He made everyone feel seen and supported in all their interest. He loved them not as a duty but as a calling. Seth had a great sense of humor and an even greater love for family adventures. He loved aquariums, going to watch local sports teams, weekends on the move and any excuse to pile in the family car and find something new. The same spirit carried into his workshop at home. Seth could build anything and loved a challenge. He loved experiencing the trial and error of building something. Seth is survived by his loving wife Bobie Jo Walsh Parker children Henry 23, Derek 15, Brenden 13, Ellie 11, and Charley 9. In addition, he leaves behind his parents, Elissa Crispino Salomone, Douglas and Karen Parker, sister Jessica Parker, nieces and nephew Paige, Colin and Riley, his uncle and aunts/godparents Delores Bushman, Ronnie and Nancy Crispino. His mother-in-law, Robin Walsh, and many loving family members on Bobie Jo‘s and his side and a great multitude of friends. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family wearing shades of blue on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 2 to 5 PM for calling hours at Molloy Funeral Home 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. A small service will be held at Molloy Funeral Home on Monday, April 20 at 10 AM with a burial to follow in Fairview cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to his wife and kids or cancer research for cancers of unknown primary.
