Rosemary Rex

REX, Rosemary Morissette On Tuesday, Jan.23, 2007, the person we all knew and loved as Rosemary, let her immortal soul free as the bright, white, Noon light shone on to her bed. She was surrounded, in her home, by family and the diligent VNA Hospice nurse at the moment of her final breath. She left us for the comfort of eternity, peacefully. Rosemary lived in West Hartford and summered in Old Saybrook. She was born on May 16, 1954 in Waterville, ME, the daughter of the late Raymond E. Morissette and Rose Emma Samuelson Guerrette. Rosemary grew up happily in Maine and moved to Connecticut as a teenager. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1972. She was employed by ING in Hartford and worked in the insurance business since 1975, starting at the Aetna. In her leisure time, she liked to travel with her husband Peter. She also enjoyed cooking, knitting, reading, movies and T.V. She loved walks in the woods and at the beach. She was an extremely beautiful woman and very, very creative. She also enjoyed Hartford Stage, RAW, MFA, and Wadsworth Atheneum. But her ?favorite places? in Hartford were the Mark Twain House, Elizabeth Park, and Connecticut River Park. Besides her heart broken husband Peter, she leaves her loving daughter Allison Rex and wonderful son-in-law Brian LaRossa of Brooklyn, NY, her mother-in-law Reeda Rex of West Hartford, and of course her faithful dog Feebee. She also leaves a sister Nancy LaRochelle and her husband Robert in Virginia, two brothers, John Morissette and his wife Jennifer in Vernon, Michael Morissette and his wife Gina of Wethersfield, seven nieces and nephews; Jeffery, James, and Kevin from her sister Nancy; Emily and Tyler from her brother John; Nicole and Michael from her brother Michael, and their children. Rosemary?s mother had many brothers and sisters and they also had many children and grandchildren. They will also miss her. Besides family and work, she leaves many, many friends and lastly her great neighbors. A celebration of Rose?s life will be held Friday evening January 26th with visitation from 6-8:30 p.m. and remembrances by family at 7:30 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home 906 Farmington Ave. West Hartford.
