Rosalie M. Rotatori

ROTATORI, Rosalie M. Rosalie Mancuso Rotatori of West Hartford, beloved wife of Dr. Eugene Rotatori, died peacefully on Saturday May 13, 2006 surrounded by her family. Rosalie was born in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Angela and Salvatore Mancuso, and raised in Washington, DC. She was a Connecticut resident since 1960. After raising her three children, Rosalie returned to college, receiving an A.A. from Hartford College for Women, and continuing as an Ada Comstock Scholar at Smith College, where she received her A.B. in art history and was on the dean's list. She received her M.A. in French from Central Connecticut State University, and was a devoted member of her French book club. Rosalie worked in various positions for the Department of the Army, Georgetown University where she met her future husband and the University of Connecticut. She served on the Board of Directors of the Women's Auxiliary of St. Francis Hospital, and was a member of St. Peter Claver parish since its inception. Rosalie enjoyed tennis, traveling, especially to New York, walks in the reservoir, and above all family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends, who enjoyed her wonderful cooking, her humorous comments, and her warm, caring personality. In addition to her loving husband of nearly 48 years, Eugene, she leaves three devoted children: Susan McAuliffe and her husband Robert of Falls Church, VA, Kathryn Corjulo and her husband Daniel of Avon, and William Rotatori and his wife Patricia of Newington; eight grandchildren: Erik Harris of West Hartford, Alex, Emily and Olivia McAuliffe of Falls Church, VA, Mark and Clara Corjulo of Avon, and Nicholas and Annmarie Rotatori of Newington; five caring siblings: Sam, Charles, Frank, Marie and Stephen, with whom she shared a close lifelong relationship; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by beloved family members: grandson Michael, sister Angela and brother-in-law Jack. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant Street, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford.
